Terms of use
The agreement between you and Friday Labs for using Postfolio. Plain language where we can manage it, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Last updated September 29, 2026 · Friday Labs · [email protected]
This is an English translation, provided for convenience. Friday Labs is a Brazilian company and the Portuguese version is the governing one — where the two diverge, the Portuguese text prevails.
1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Friday Labs (“we”, “us”), a company incorporated in Brazil, covering the Postfolio mobile app and this website (together, “Postfolio” or “the service”).
By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use Postfolio. Our privacy policy forms part of this agreement.
2. What Postfolio does
You share a link to a post, video or article. We read what’s in it, write down the useful part as text, file it into a folder in your private library, and make it searchable.
Postfolio is an index, not a copy. We do not download, host or re-distribute anyone’s video or images, there is no download feature, and every save links back to its original source. What we store is our own derived summary plus one small cached thumbnail.
Postfolio is a personal tool. Your library is private to your account — nothing you save is published or shared with other users.
3. Your account
You need an account, and you must be old enough to have one where you live (at least 13, or 16 where local law requires it). Give us an address you actually read — it’s how we reach you about your account.
Keep your sign-in method secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person; don’t share it.
4. Free, Pro and billing
Free
The free plan includes 10 saves a month. The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Once you’ve used it:
- everything already in your library stays readable, searchable, editable and movable, indefinitely;
- anything you share afterwards is held, not lost: it is read at the start of the next month against the new allowance, or immediately if you subscribe;
- a link we couldn’t read never counts against your allowance — our failure isn’t your quota.
Pro
Pro is a subscription. It includes 100 saves per month, Ask (question-and-answer search over your library), and the immediate reading of anything held while you were on the free plan. The monthly number exists to stop automated abuse; if you hit it in normal use, write to us.
Prices are shown in the app before you buy and are set per country — currently US$ 4.99 a month or US$ 47.99 a year in the United States, and R$ 9,90 a month or R$ 94,90 a year in Brazil. There is no free trial.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms. We never receive your card details.
- They renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; access continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store’s policy. We’ll help where we can.
- Prices can change. We’ll give you notice before a change affects a renewal, and you can cancel first.
If you stop paying
Nothing is deleted. You keep every save you made — all of it readable, searchable and editable. You simply return to the free rules: ten saves a month, and search instead of Ask. Subscribing again lifts everything immediately, with nothing to restore.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use Postfolio to:
- break the law, or process content that is illegal to possess or distribute;
- infringe someone else’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or work around the terms of the platform a link came from;
- bulk-collect, scrape or systematically archive content — Postfolio is for things you chose to save;
- script, automate or otherwise abuse the service, evade the free allowance or the fair-use ceiling, or resell access to it;
- attack, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with anyone else’s use of it.
Our processing providers refuse some categories of content outright. When that happens the save simply fails, and we keep nothing beyond the link you already had.
6. Your content
Your library is yours. Your notes, corrections and organisation belong to you, and we claim no ownership of them.
To run the service you give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display that content to you — including sending the link and extracted text to the providers listed in our privacy policy so a summary can be produced. That licence exists for the sole purpose of providing Postfolio to you, and it ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your library to train models, and we do not sell it.
You can delete any save at any time (it sits in Trash for 30 days first), and you can delete your whole account from inside the app. You can request a machine-readable copy of your data at any time — see the privacy policy.
7. Other people’s content
The posts you save belong to whoever made them. Postfolio doesn’t grant you any rights over that content, and our summary of a post is a description of it — not a licence to reuse it. If you republish something you found through Postfolio, that’s on you, and the original creator’s rights and the source platform’s terms still apply.
Postfolio is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any social platform or content provider. Access to any particular source may change or stop entirely if that platform changes how it works — that is outside our control.
Rights holders: see Abuse and takedowns.
8. Accuracy of summaries
Summaries are produced automatically, and they will sometimes be wrong. We’ve built Postfolio not to invent quantities or steps that weren’t in the original, and to say when it isn’t sure — but you should treat every summary as a note, not as an authority. Open the original when it matters.
Nothing Postfolio produces is professional advice — medical, nutritional, financial, legal or otherwise. Check anything with real consequences at the source, especially where allergies, health conditions, dosages or money are involved.
9. Our intellectual property
The Postfolio name, mark, design, interface and software belong to Friday Labs. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app as it’s intended — not to copy it, modify it, decompile it or build a competing service from it.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Postfolio available and fast, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service. Features can change, and occasionally something is removed — if a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we’ll tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel.
Processing depends on third-party providers. If one of them blocks or breaks a source, the affected saves may fail. Where we can’t read a link we keep it, tell you plainly, and don’t charge it against your allowance.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Postfolio and delete your account whenever you like, from inside the app.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is being used to abuse the service, or that we’re legally required to act on. Where it’s reasonable and lawful we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close your account without cause, we’ll refund the unused part of any subscription you paid us for.
12. Disclaimers
Except for the guarantees we can’t exclude by law — including your rights under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Lei nº 8.078/1990) and any equivalent consumer law where you live — Postfolio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the service will be error-free.
13. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$ 50.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury, or anything else that can’t be limited under applicable law — including mandatory consumer protections.
14. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because of how you used Postfolio — content you processed, rights you infringed, or these terms broken — you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result, to the extent the law permits.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes go to the courts of the company’s registered seat, except that a consumer may always bring a claim in the courts of their own domicile, and mandatory consumer-protection rules where you live continue to apply.
16. Changes to these terms
When these terms change we publish the new version here with a new date. For material changes we’ll give notice in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Postfolio afterwards means you accept them.
