Postfolio for AI assistants
Your library, inside the assistant you already use.
Postfolio runs an MCP server — the open standard AI assistants use to connect to apps. Add it once and ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity can search your saves and read their summaries whenever a question needs them.
Server URL
Part of Postfolio Pro.https://mcp.app-postfolio.com/mcpOnly needed for apps that don’t list Postfolio yet: paste it wherever they ask for an MCP server URL.
Setting it up
Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code and others
- Add a remote MCP server with the URL above — Streamable HTTP, OAuth.
- Your editor opens the Postfolio sign-in page the first time you use it.
How signing in works
The assistant sends you to a Postfolio page that names the app asking for access and the site it will send you back to. Type the email you use in the app, enter the 6-digit code we send, and you’re connected. No password, and the assistant never sees your code.
What the assistant can see
- Your saves: titles, summaries, steps, lists and the links in them
- Your own notes, and each save’s original caption and transcript
- Your folder names and what’s in them
What it can’t do
- Change, move or delete anything
- Save new things — that’s still the share button in the app
- See your account, your plan or your payment details
Disconnecting
In the Postfolio app, go to You → Connect your AI to see every connected assistant and disconnect any of them — it loses access immediately. Removing the connector inside the assistant works too, and a connection you stop using expires after 60 days.
For developers
Four read-only tools over Streamable HTTP, with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE and dynamic client registration).
- search
- Find saves by meaning and by keyword; returns ids, titles, links and a snippet.
- fetch
- One save in full: summary, structured sections, note, caption and transcript.
- list_saves
- Newest first, optionally one folder, paged.
- list_folders
- Folders with how many saves each holds.
